What happens in a dynamic when a sadist owns someone who is, in large part, not a masochist? Depending on the negotiations within that dynamic, masochism might become part of an s-type’s service to their D-type. In this class, we explore what this might look like within consent negotiations, including considerations such as mental health, physical tolerance, and enjoyment of service vs enjoyment of pain. Through the negotiations of a scene, audience members will get to see what real-time consent and adjustments might look like within the realm of balancing Sadism and service masochism. We share our own experiences through the lens of an Owner/property dynamic with a significant emphasis on service masochism in the hopes that others can learn alongside us.
